This Digital Vickers Hardness Tester made with a unique and precise design in the fields of mechanics, optics and light source is able to produce a clearer indentation and hence a more precise measurement. By means of 10^x lens, 20^x lens or 20^x lens and 40^x lens, the tester has a wider measurement field and broader usage range. The set of lens (2 pieces lens ) can be selected according to the user’s requirement. Due to adopt a large LCD screen, operation seems more directly and clearly. It shows the measuring method, the test force, the indentation length, the hardness values, the dwell time of the test force as well as the number of measurements - all shown on its LCD screen. Besides, it has such function as registering the date, and measuring results, treating the data, outputting the information with the printer, and carrying out the operations of directly showing the measure number, exchanging the scales among the 17 scales, putting the data into the bank and linking  RS232 interface, With a threaded interface supplied to link with a digital camera and a CCD pickup camrea , it also can be connected with video measuring devices and indentation automatically meausring device without switching optical path. Uniquely adopts cold light source, the usage life of light source reach 100000 hours. By means of closed - circuit system for control , CPU controls testing force to load; dwell and unload, the sensor feedback information, therefore the lost of testing force value can be automatically compensated during testing and hence the testing force more accuracy. The instrument represents today’s world advanced level among the products of the same kind in China.

After equipped up a camera device, the tester can take a photograph for testing indentation and material’s metallographic composition.
